One thousand one hundred and eighty academies. Every one visited in person.
We do not list an academy on a phone call. A CricLane field officer walks the nets, measures the run-ups, checks the side netting, confirms the head coach's certificate number with the issuing board and writes down the coach-to-player ratio for every batch. Then it goes live — and it is re-audited every twelve months.
Filter by city, age group or facilities
Ratings come from parents and players who have completed at least one term. Reviews from anyone who has not attended are removed, which is why the counts look smaller than you might expect.

What the levels actually mean
Foundation coaching
Can run a junior batch under supervision. Group work, basic technique, safety and session planning.
Independent coaching
Runs their own batches and one-to-ones, plans a season, and manages age-group bowling loads.
Head coach
Can lead an academy, supervise other coaches and take a squad into representative cricket. Required for any academy running a performance tier.
Four tiers, priced the way academies actually charge
These are the median monthly fees across our verified directory. Academies set their own prices and are paid directly — CricLane never holds a term fee.

What parents and players say after a full term
Reviews can only be left by someone with a completed term logged against the academy. These three are from the 2025–26 intake.
I picked my daughter's academy off CricLane because the listing showed the coach's certificate number and the net safety audit date. That is the only reason I trusted it over a WhatsApp forward.
My son had been at a place in Kothrud for two years where thirty boys shared two coaches. We moved to a batch of eight. Same city, same money, completely different term — he has faced more balls in four months than in the previous two years.
I joined the women's squad at twenty-three, which felt late. Two seasons on, my CricLane profile has every innings in it, and that record is what got me into the Backwaters Cup squad. Nobody had to take my word for anything.
Verified academies in thirty-eight cities.
Coverage is deepest where we have the most field officers — Mumbai, Pune and Delhi NCR between them account for a third of the directory. We verify roughly twenty new centres every month, and we publish the rejected count alongside the accepted one.

What parents ask our grassroots desk
Six of the questions Zoya Merchant's team answers most often. There are eighteen more in the help centre.
A CricLane field officer has visited the academy in person. We photograph the nets, record the surface type, check the side netting and run-ups, confirm the head coach's certification number with the issuing board, and note the coach-to-player ratio for every batch. Listings are re-audited every twelve months and the badge is removed the day an audit lapses.
No. Searching the directory, booking a trial and keeping a player profile are free, permanently. Academy fees are paid directly to the academy — CricLane never holds them. We earn from academy listing fees and the shop, and paid placement is labelled wherever it appears.
Our Foundation tier starts at seven, and most coaches we work with would rather see a child at eight playing twice a week than at six playing five days. Before ten, the useful work is catching, throwing and balance. Specialised bowling loads should not begin before thirteen, and every listed academy follows published over limits for junior bowlers.
A trial is forty-five to sixty minutes: fitness and movement, then batting or bowling in the nets with a coach watching specifically. Bring whites or trainingwear, non-spike shoes, a water bottle and your own abdominal guard. Bat, pads, gloves and helmet are provided at every academy in our directory for a first trial.
Yes. Every coach in the directory has a Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 certificate whose number we hold on file and confirm with the issuing board before the profile goes live. The certification level, the issuing body and the year are printed on the coach's profile, and we re-confirm at every twelve-month audit.
Profiles for players under eighteen are parent-consented, carry no contact details and no ground address beyond the city, and are excluded from public search indexes. Anyone at CricLane working on age-group listings completes an annual safeguarding module and a background check.
Book two trials this week and compare them properly
Trials are free at every academy in this directory, and a CricLane player profile costs nothing for life. Our grassroots desk answers Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM IST, and on weekends during trial season.
