What captains, parents and organisers tell us

We used to argue about the scorebook every Sunday. Now the scorecard is on the club page before the players have taken their pads off, and nobody disputes an average any more.
Nikhil BarveCaptain, Kothrud Cricket Club, Pune
I picked my daughter's academy off CricLane because the listing showed the coach's certificate number and the net safety audit date. That is the only reason I trusted it over a WhatsApp forward.
Sharmila IyerParent, Adyar, Chennai
Running a 48-team corporate league used to mean four volunteers and a shared spreadsheet. This year it was one laptop, and the HR teams could pull their own highlight reels.

Common questions

Before you register

No. Club pages, player profiles, the scorer app and the live scorecards are free, permanently. We earn from tournament listing fees paid by organisers and from the shop. There is no per-match charge and no premium tier for basic scoring.

A CricLane field officer visits in person. We photograph the nets, record the surface type, check net and side-netting condition, confirm the head coach's certification number with the issuing board, and note the coach-to-player ratio for each batch. Listings are re-audited every twelve months.

The organiser does. CricLane never takes custody of entry fees or prize money. We publish the organiser's refund policy on every tournament page before you pay, and we delist organisers who fail to honour it.

No. CricLane publishes statistical analysis and player-form insights. We do not run contests, do not accept stakes, and do not hold user money for any game of chance or skill. Read the Disclaimer for the full position.

Yes. The scorer app stores every delivery locally and syncs the whole innings when the connection returns. Roughly a third of the grounds we cover have no usable data signal, so this was the first thing we built.
